Monitoring and Evaluation of Family Planning Programs Workshop

MEASURE Evaluation PRH and the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health will host a one-day workshop on M&E of family planning programs November 11, 2013.

USAID’s MEASURE Evaluation Population and Reproductive Health (PRH) Project is pleased to announce a one-day workshop on “Monitoring and Evaluation of Family Planning Programs." The workshop is being offered by the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health (ACIPH), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with support from MEASURE Evaluation PRH. The workshop will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013, in conjunction with the International Conference on Family Planning.

Taught in English, the course is designed to introduce monitoring & evaluation concepts (M&E) to individuals working in family planning and reproductive health. Participants will learn how to apply basic M&E concepts (frameworks, indicators, etc.) to family planning programs, summarize some of the main issues in M&E of family planning programs from a historical perspective, understand data use in M&E, and discuss current and emerging issues in the M&E of family planning, including integration and program scale-up. The goal is for participants to receive an introduction and hands-on training to build their capacity to monitor and evaluate programs.

This workshop is being offered free of charge to qualified applicants. The cost of the program is being supported by USAID. Travel costs to Addis Ababa to attend the workshop must be covered by each participant.

The completed application must be submitted to ACIPH by October 14, 2013.
