Abstract:

An orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) mapping activity was designed to help the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief programs serve OVC more efficiently and effectively. The OVC mapping activity provides guidance on how data and geographic mapping can be used to support decision makers and program planners in allocating resources. This document provides an overview of the mapping activity, as well as recommendations on ways data can be used to support program decisions, including ways to organize data and use mapping to evaluate programs and services.
