Abstract:

This chartbook presents comparable cross-country information on key indicators that represent the capacity of a health facility to provide quality services. These indicators provide a baseline for measuring changes in infrastructure and resources over time. This information will help stakeholders for health to identify key aspects of facility-based services that are internationally assessed as important to quality of services, identify differences between countries in the readiness of facilities to provide quality services, provide objective information that can be used to prioritize specific indicators or domains for sustained improvement, and provide a baseline against which change can be measured.
