This question prompted lively discussion among 98 participants from 29 countries in a week-long, online discussion forum entitled β€œIs Integration of Health Information Systems Possible? Some Issues and Considerations.” The forum was hosted by the Routine Health Information Network (RHINO) July 27-July 31, 2009, and moderated by Dr. Francis Kiweewa, Intern at John Snow Inc. and Dr. Anwer Aqil, Senior Health Information Systems Advisor of MEASURE Evaluation.

Improving RHIS Performance Workshop, Guanajuato, Mexico, March 8-12, 2010

To address the critical role of the Routine Health Information System (RHIS) in improving health system performance, RHINO, in collaboration with Instituto Nacional de Salud Publica (INSP), the Mexico Ministry of Health, and MEASURE Evaluation, will host an international workshop in Guanajuato, Mexico. The workshop will examine how to measure and improve RHIS performance, how RHIS can better support health system performance and how changes in RHIS and health system performance lead to better health outcomes.
