Join MEASURE Evaluation and GEMNet-Health for a webinar on a new course developed to address the digital health skills gap in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The one-hour webinar will take place October 3, 2018, at 9am EDT and will be led by Sam Wambugu, MPH, MEASURE Evaluation; George O. Otieno, PhD, Kenyatta University; Samuel K. Dery, PhD, University of Ghana; and Suresh Munuswamy, PhD, Indian Institute of Public Health-Hyderabad.

The potential benefits of digital health are numerous: improved efficiency, effectiveness, disease prevention, and patient safety and empowerment. But these benefits cannot be realized without the right technology, right processes, and digitally adept human resources. LMICs are vigorously rolling out digital health but lack the appropriate digital health workforce. MEASURE Evaluation, working collaboratively with the GEMNet-Health, developed and delivered an international health informatics curriculum to be used for in-service training for digital health staff. The curriculum will be available on MEASURE Evaluation’s website prior to the webinar. The webinar will share the link to the curriculum and will answer four questions: What is the content for this curriculum? How was the curriculum determined? Who is the course meant for? How can organizations access and use the course?
