Contextualizing Case Management Costs in Orphan and Vulnerable Children Programs

Join MEASURE Evaluation on May 24 at 9:00am EDT for a webinar presenting findings from an activity assessing the cost of case management in orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) programs across six countries. The webinar will be led by MEASURE Evaluation’s Stacie Gobin, MPH, and Shaylen Foley, MPH.

Case management is the cornerstone of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) programming, but research is limited on the cost of OVC case-management models or how these costs relate to case worker (CW) training, supervision, and compensation. To address that, the USAID- and PEPFAR-funded MEASURE Evaluation project conducted mixed-methods research: a cost analysis and in-depth key-informant interviews of more than 150 OVC program staff and case workers in six sub-Saharan African countries: Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
