Electronic Management Information Systems Strengthened in Bangladesh
A recently released report from the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare features work by MEASURE Evaluation to strengthen the country’s electronic management information systems (eMIS). The annual Bangladesh Health Bulletin reviews the state of Bangladesh’s health sector and highlights progress made in 2016.
The bulletin features a section on the regional Measurement and Accountability for Results in Health (MA4Health) conference in Dhaka, in which MEASURE Evaluation participated (page 184). Efforts by MEASURE Evaluation and other organizations to digitalize health services through innovative approaches, thus improving information use and strengthening eMIS, were featured in another section of the report (page 189). MEASURE Evaluation's efforts have also been highlighted in a video on digitizing the business processes of the Department of Family Planning in Bangladesh.
MEASURE Evaluation’s work to help digitalize health services and data aids progress towards the sustainable development goals (SDGs), improves health information, and assists the country’s efforts to make evidence-informed decisions in the health sector.
